WHY LAWS ON MORALITY
A society creates laws which set the standard of morality that is to be acceptable to the society established. The founding fathers of our nation wanted a society based on Biblical laws and principles.
God’s laws, warnings andpromises are given for our protection and comfort. God’s don’ts, protect us from definite danger and hurts. The do’s, bring rewards and help keep us on the path of living to please God. So there will be no misunderstanding, our salvation is only through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary. He paid the penalty of sin and offers to us the gift of salvation/forgiveness.
God’s warnings—don’t go there, because there is danger you can’t see. Signs give warnings such as Danger High Voltage, Danger High Radiation. These warnings did not need to say, don’t enter, but everyone knows there is great danger, even death if you entered.
The Promises say, trust me, don’t fear I can take care of whatever it is. If you trust, receive me and I will give you eternal life in heaven. If you reject me you will have chosen to spend eternity in Hell.
Laws are for our good, God’s laws are for our protection and well being. His laws are perfect, Man’s laws, America’s laws in general were given for our protection and the well being of society. To help maintain the society we want established. America was founded on Judeo Christian principles. Our laws were based on the Bible. (We have drifted far from the foundation of the founding fathers.)

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN: “Man will ultimately be governed by GOD or by ty- rants.”
ANDREW JACKSON: “The BIBLE is the rock on which our Republic rests.”
DANIEL WEBSTER: “If we abide by the principles taught in the BIBLE, our country will go on prospering.”

In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. Judges 17:6
If America continues down the path of setting aside moral laws, relating to drugs, marriage only between one man and one woman etc, this country/society as we know it is doomed to destruction.
Our only hope is revival, turning away from sin and turning to God.
