Three questions for each day:

Am I fighting a good fight?

Am I following my course?

Am I keeping the faith?

Three questions at the end:

Have I fought a good fight?

Have I finished my course?

Have I kept the faith?

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2nd Timothy 4:6-8. These words were written by the apostle Paul as he was coming to the end of his life here on earth. The three statements given are excellent questions for us to ask ourselves as we live each day because we will give account of them at the end.

Never Forget

NEVER FORGET these words were on the front of our newspaper for
Sept 11, the media reminds us to never forget this tragic event. Many died and
many freely gave their lives to save others. Another event we should never
forget but keep fresh in our minds is recorded in Matthew 27. A reminder to
everyone to make it personal, For me and for my sin.  Never forget!

Matthew 27:22-36

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus
which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 23
And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the
more, saying, Let him be crucified. 24 When Pilate saw that he
could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water,
and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the
blood of this just person: see ye to it. 25 Then answered
all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. [1]

26 Then released he Barabbas unto
them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common
hallb, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. 28
And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. 29 And when
they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a
reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him,
saying, Hail, King of the Jews! 30 And they spit upon him, and took
the reed, and smote him on the head. 31 And after that they had
mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him,
and led him away to crucify him. 32 And as they came out,
they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his

33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that
is to say, a place of a skull, 34 They gave him vinegar to drink
mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. 35
And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might
be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among
them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. 36 And sitting down
they watched him there;

Greatest News Ever

The message that Jesus spoke is the most wonderful words any man could ever hear. Jesus was and is the greatest teacher ever to walk on earth and also God in the flesh.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God

The condition of all mankind, the problem we have.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

The future of mankind because of his condition.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Mankind’s only hope, that’s the good news of the Bible.

I Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [1]

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Mankind has a choice receive or reject God’s offer.

God has prepared the only way of forgiveness and freedom. His desire is for all men to receive His gift. Within His sovereignty He has given the choice to each of us.

Romans 10:9-11 & 13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Satan uses men counterfeit the Gospel with at least two methods to: First making it close to the truth but leaving parts out or adding things to it. Second making it complicated and confusing difficult to understand both are counterfeits that lead to destruction.

God gave His message simple so all men could understand and make a choice, what about you?

Room at the Cross for you

The cross upon which Jesus died, Is a shelter in which we can hide, And it’s grace so free is sufficient for me, And deep is it’s fountain as wide as the sea.

Tho millions have found him a friend, And have turned from the sins they have sinned, The Savior still waits to open the gates, And welcome a sinner before it’s too late.

The hand of my Savior is strong, And the love of my Savior is long, Through sunshine or rain, though loss or in gain, The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain.

There’s room at the cross for you, There’s room at the cross for you, Tho millions have come, There’s still room for one Yes, there’s room at the cross for you.
