Confidence & Commitment
The Psalmist ask God to do three things, judge me, examine me and prove me. His desire is to be exactly what God would have him to be, that should be the desire of all Believers. He ask God to take a careful look at his life, he desires that close unbroken fellowship with Christ. Is there anything in my life that is unpleasing to you Lord is his request. I believe the Psalmist is confident that there is nothing between him and Christ, but he still ask to be sure. Gods’ love is always before his eyes and motivates him to follow Gods’ ways , love is the greatest motivator. He says I have walked in thy truth, I have separated myself from those who live contrary to your ways, friends one must choose carefully. He hates evil because God hates evil, he is careful of his steps, what he allows in his life because he sees where it could go. If others have failed he knows he could also. He desire is to praise God for who He is and tell of His wonderful works. He is committed to walk in ways that please God, and give praise to God both with his voice, speech and life example. The question we must face is not what we think is wrong but what God thinks and stay far from the dege as possible in our daily walk. Little things destroy, termites can destroy houses and ants can corrupt large bags of flour and sugar. Be careful, Be committed. God loves you. Psalm 26 Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. 2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. 3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. 4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. 5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. 6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD: 7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. 8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. 9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: 10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. 11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. 12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

Trust Fear Learn
As the Psalmist (Ps 25)we turn to God in praise, prayer and worship, only He is worthy. We have an open invitation to come to Him at anytime with anything. Its’ a personal relationship with God, My God not just a God as with other religions in the world. Our commitment to trust in Him, our hope and security in all areas we face. Our main enemy is Satan, whose goal is to break our fellowship with Christ, through our failures, our prayer is God don’t let Satan triumph over us in our daily walk. Our prayer should be as the Psalmist’s, shew me thy ways, teach me thy paths, lead me in thy truth and teach me. The only requirements to know Gods’ ways and truth is desire to know and obey. Then one will read and study His Word and God will teach them the truth, and as we learn and obey He will teach us more. God has promised not to remember my sins when confessed, that’s great comfort Jeremiah 31:34 “..I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more”. Forgiveness of our sin is personal confession, repentance and trust in Christ as your Saviour. K heard on a talk show about the president, “ well he’s not Jewish, so he must be a Christian.” Many people have a lack of understanding what Christianity is and many who claim Christianity have a false hope. Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ. The new birth experienced when one comes to Christ for salvation always changes that person. As we see what is taking place in the world we see things aligning up as the Bible predicts for the time of the seven years tribulation. Please be sure, be ready the time of opportunity is coming to a close. is short Matthew 24:44 “ Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Psalm 25 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. 3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. 4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD. 8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. 10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11 For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. 15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. 16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. 17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. 19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. 20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Ownership
All belongs to God, all creations in the heavens and earth and we ourselves are not our own. We were created specially in every detail(Psalm 139). How will we take care of and use what God has created and loaned to us. The bond and relationship was broken by the first man and woman. God has made restoration possible through the Cross of Calvary. Restoration is our choice to accept His offer or reject it. We can stand with Him in fellowship with clean hands and a pure heart, it’s our job to keep them clean and pure with confession of sins and then staying far away from sin as possible in our daily walk. Be careful of Satan’s deceptions. And when we fail and we will we go to Him, repent, confess and receive forgiveness and back into that fellowship with nothing between us and our Lord. As kids we were told not to step in the mud puddles, yes we had mud puddles in the country. God tells to not step in Satan’s mud puddles. But as kids stepping right at the edge was always fun. And as with Satan’s puddles they look good at the edge and it seems enjoyable, but be assured just as kids we will one day step fully into the puddle. Then what seemed enjoyable at the time will end in destruction of our fellowship with Christ ,our families and our testimony. Stay away from the puddles the cost is too high,, not worth the temporary enjoyment. Remember Satan is a deceiver and uses deception to capture and destroy his prey. Enjoy the blessings of clean hands and a pure heart. Psalm 24 The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. As the Hymn writer C.A. Tindley put it. Nothing between my soul and my Savior, Naught of this world’s delusive dream;
I have renounced all sinful pleasure; Jesus is mine, there’s nothing between.
Nothing between, like worldly pleasure; Habits of life, though harmless they seem,
Must not my heart from Him ever sever; He is my all, there’s nothing between.
Nothing between, like pride or station; Self or friends shall not intervene;
Though it may cost me much tribulation, I am resolved, there’s nothing between.
Nothing between, e’en many hard trials, Though the whole world against me convene;
Watching with prayer and much self-denial, I’ll triumph at last, there’s nothing between.
Refrain: Nothing between my soul and my Savior, So that His blessed face may be seen;
Nothing preventing the least of His favor; Keep the way clear! Let nothing between.

Satisfied in Life

Psalm 23 is mostly likely one of the best know passages in the Bible, Today just some thoughts as it’s read. SATISFIED; vs 1 My shepherd, there must be a time and place where He became your shepherd, when you realized your need for a Saviour and accepted Him as your only hope and full payment for sin. Be also sure our wants are in line with His wants for us at the time.  REFRESHING; vs 2 Rest in green pastures and still waters, our refreshing comes as we spent time reading, mediating on the Bible, His letters to us.  RESTORED;vs 3a  Fellowship awaits us when we fail, if we confess it to Him alone and He will forgive and restore our fellowship with Him, that’s love. GUIDANCE: vs 3b When our fellowship is right with Him He guides us down the right path the way of righteous living. COMFORT: vs 4  Christians need to fully understand that in this life we as others in the past and in many places today will go through some actural horrors in life. At these times we can find comfort in our relationship with Christ, and yes there will be hurts, heartaches and troubles in this life. He never promised smooth sailing but only a secure vessel. PROVISIONS; vs 5 He provides what we actually need at the time and what is best for us. Our attitudes and action in times of trouble may be a testimony to others that we know nothing about.  SECURITY;  vs 6a Our body guards and companions though life goodness and mercy are with us all our lives each day, they guide and protect, even when we don’t know it or understand the events. HOPE; vs 6b Our future is secure and glorious to be in the actual visible presence of the LORD Himself forever.

Psalm 23  The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest  my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

In Psalm 22 the Psalmist wrote the cry of Jesus on the Cross “My God My God why hast thou forsaken me” and describes His suffering  about a thousand years before it happened. The answer to Jesus’  cry on the cross is …because of me and my sin it’s personal. It’s difficult to comprehend His love for us. In Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Verse 10 says we were His enemies. It was love that sent Jesus to the Cross His love for us, the unlovely. Our only hope to see our sin forgiven and to become a child in the family of God, to escape the eternal torments of Hell. In this Psalm we see the sufferings  of crucifixion foretold and in Matthew twenty-seven we read of the event as it takes place. Today we see the beheadings and burnings by ISIS and we are horrified. But crucifixion with spikes driven through the hands and feet we can not comprehend the hours of physical suffering of Jesus. Then He takes on all our guilt and shame to pay the penalty of death in our/my place. Then in verse 22 of Psalm 22 the psalmist say too declare His name(witness), praise the Lord, glorify Him lift Him up to be seen as the awesome almighty God He is then fear Him. Show great respect and admiration for who He is, the one who knows all, has all power, is present everywhere and sees all. He knows all the hardships we face, the good and wrong things we do. He gives us a way to avoid sin and when we fail He still loves us. He is awesome His love is awesome, let’s live for Him daily like we believe it.  Psalm 22: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.  But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.  Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.  They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly. 11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. 13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. 16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. 19 But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me. 20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. 21 Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. 22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. 24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. 25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. 26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. 27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. 28 For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations. 29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. 30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. 31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

What is Christianity?
In the Presidents’ speech at the prayer breakfast and in the news they said that Christians in the past were killing and enslaving others. In the 1500s it was the catholic churches leaders that were putting people to death if they disagreed with the churches wrong teaching. See Foxes book of martyrs for the accounts. In regard to slavery that was wrong and not according to the Bible. So I just wanted to give out the evidences of the true Christianity. It starts with the Gospel, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sin. All are sinners Romans 3:23 The wages of sin is death, separation from God in Hell forever. Revelation 20:11-15 God loves you Romans 5:8 Believe that Christ is the Son of God Christ paid the price of sin Romans 10:9-13 Accept Him as who He is Saviour and Lord. It’s Christ alone for salvation nothing added by us. We just accept the gift He offered to all. The Bible gives evidence in the lives of those who are truly Christians. But we will not always follow them we fail many times when we do we repent and confess it to Christ and get forgiveness 1 John 1:9
Evidence of Salvation
A changed life, desires and motives 2nd Corinthians 5:17-18 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Cannot sin and get away with it, does it brother you, if you can get away with sin, you are not saved Hebrews 12:6-8 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth
Loves not the World, desires and actions. 1st John 2:15-16 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Wants to do the will of God for his life. 1st John 2:3-6 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Loves the Bible and gets something out of it 1st John 2:27 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (Your relationship to the Bible is the same as it is to Christ, sin is a barrier to it.)
Does not practice sin 1st John 3:9 (NLT) Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.
Loves other Believers 1St John 3:14 14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
Love in action deed and truth 1st John 3:18 concern for others. 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Gets prayers answered 1st John 3:22 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Spirit bears witness with our heart. 1 John 3:24 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Romans 8:16 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

JOY
Joy in Gods’ strength, a blessing to know and be able to rest in Gods’ strength. The one who spoke all the universe, planets, animals into existence and the one who watches over me. He has the ability and desire to meet all my needs as He knows best for me. Joh in His salvation that He provided for us at Calvary when we stop and remember what He did, the cost He paid because of His love for all people, that brings joy then we remember the time when we accepted His offer of forgiveness and restoration that should bring intense joy. Read Matthew 27 often and when we get to verse 46 Jesus cries out “My God My God why hast thou forsaken me?” We can answer for me and my sin. Sing with joy , worship Him with joy, love and admiration and tell others of His love for you Sharing your testimony with others both believers and non believers brings joy. Let’s share. Psalm 21: The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! 2 Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. 3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. 4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. 5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. 6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. 7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. 8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. 9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORDshall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. 10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. 11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. 12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. 13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thin own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
