KEEP THE MESSAGE PLAIN

KEEP THE MESSAGE PLAIN

 Habakkuk 2:2

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. “

In times of imminent danger when alerts and warnings are issued they must be clear and plain. The description of the coming danger and instructions for safety must be extremely plain and clear so lives and property can be saved.

Daily we each stand on the edge of eternity never knowing when the next step will be the one that we take us across the line into eternity. The step of no return to eternal life with Christ in heaven or the step into eternal damnation and total separation from Christ in hell forever.

God’s instructions to Habakkuk was to write the vision in plain language so it could be easily  understood by all who read it. The Gospel, the death, burial and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is plain and simple. It must be kept plain and simple so that all who read it can easily understand and then take the message to others. God’s plan for salvation of mankind is plain and simple.  The need of man since Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3) is that all mankind born since have been born with a sin nature. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.“  We inherited sin and can’t avoid it because it’s our nature, we all will sin. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:10 “As it is written there is none righteous, no not one.”

God told Adam in the beginning, the penalty for sin/disobedience would be spiritual and physical death (Genesis 2:17).  Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. “

God’s provision, the price of redemption has been paid and available for all who will receive it, as a gift from God Himself . John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”   God in His loving kindness wants all to take the gift He offers.  2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise , as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  Romans 11:32 “For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.”  Come let’s talk it out, the problem of sin and what you need to satisfy the judgment of a Holy, Righteous, Just and yes merciful God. Isaiah 1:18 “ Come now , and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Our choice is to believe God and to receive His gift or to disbelieve Him and reject His gift. John 3:16-18” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Romans 10:9-13 “10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

When warnings, advice or instructions are given to escape the coming danger,  each one then must make a decision in the time allowed before it’s too late.

Joel 3:14 “Multitudes,  multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley  of decision.  2 Corinthians 6:2 For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”

In the final words of God’s message to man, He gives one last invitation and a warning concerning His Word. If you want forgiveness and eternal life come to me. And a warning not to change, delete or add in any way to the Word of God.  Revelation 22:17-19 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Today any believer with a computer can reach an unknown number of people with the Gospel using the free media available such as E-mail, Facebook and the blog Word Press etc. Just share your personal testimony,  just tell your story.
