THE ANSWER TO AMERICA’S CRISES

Crises, disasters and turmoil are the news every day.

Crises unemployment, rising prices our country is in trouble. Obama said he wanted to change America, and it’s being done with every crisis that comes. We are losing our freedoms as he tries to solve the current crisis by adding new laws regulations, committees and czars for many areas of our lives. This is not the American way but the people are allowing it to happen. Without change, we will lose our freedom, and be ruled by a dictator type, the people will have little say. Many of the world’s governments are failing and going bankrupt.

Disasters are occurring throughout the world including earthquakes flooding , droughts and fires.

Turmoil; unemployment abounds, families at odds and falling apart. Morality taking a dive, sins of the past and identified in the Bible that were avoided by Christians, are now being proclaimed acceptable by professing Christians. The foundation of our country is being destroyed. America was founded on principles and laws given in the Bible not the Koran or any other belief system. All other beliefs were and are allowed to exist but should never be allowed to change the foundation of our country. Therefore America was identified as a Christian nation. Now our country has turned away from the Bible and God.  It now has no solid foundation for its actions and laws. Why is living together acceptable and same sex marriage is ok but polygamy not acceptable?  As a nation we have rejected the immovable solid foundation to base our actions and laws on. Its’ now whatever is currently acceptable by the masses. Many preachers, churches and professing Christians are drifting away from the unmovable foundation of God’s Word the Bible. They no longer rely on what the Bible says but what they say it means and that leaves them with a foundation that is no longer solid.

They have turned away from thus saith the Lord as the final authority.  They claim in practice that the Bible cannot be trusted to mean what it says in both doctrine and practical living and in determining what is right and wrong. Many have been led astray by Satan thru pride and have turned away from the sure plain words of the Bible. As individual Christians go, the Church will go and as the Churches go so goes the nation.

It all starts with a tiny little crack. When Satan can enter, the end is then disaster. Like a small hole/crack in a great dam if left unplugged and the end is sure. The only hope for America, the Churches and individuals, is a return to the simple, plain, clear and sure Word of God. For our daily living, morality standards on TV, internet, reading, alcohol, dress and marriage the Bible must be our guide. (See scripture at end of article)

The answer to our dilemma is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Christians need to let the Bible be the guide in doctrine, standards of right and wrong, life’s mission and purpose.

Where can we start?

We can know God’s will for all men.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is

longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come

      to repentance.”  2 Peter 3:9

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever

believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life..” John 3:16

We know that all men are guilty sinners, and not acceptable to a Holy God.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23

We can know that all men need forgiveness and have nothing to offer.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ

     our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring

us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the spirit:” 1 Peter 3:18

“For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of

God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

We can trust God’s promises.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine

heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. “ Romans 10:13

The Christian’s life begins with the new birth but Christian growth is only possible with time spent studying the Word of God (the Bible) and prayer to God for knowledge, wisdom and guidance. “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 Corinthians 13:5
