Most if not all Believers have felt this way at times when troubles mount and nothing seems to work. We know the promises and faithfulness of God but at times we are overtaken in troubles and we cry our as the Psalmist, where are you God. Our confidence and trust fail at times. In these times we need to draw close to God reading His Word, the promises and be reminded of His unending love and faithfulness. The Psalmist then reminds us of the lives of those that ignore God. They persecute others in many ways in our country it’s not physical but with scams, stealing and destruction. As we have seen recently in the demonstrations/riots. At this time they are escaping accountability and judgment. At other times we see in businesses that cut corners that lead to innocent people being hurt. Just read Psalm 10:2-13 to see the actions of the wicked, those that forget God. We see the wealth gained many times by those that are dishonest, corrupt and immoral. All seems to be going their way no worries and troubles. We may wonder where is God, then we are reminded of their end without God, eternity in Hell. Then our hearts should be burdened for them no matter what they have done. We have all at times been in the position of an enemy with God. Romans 5:8,10 But God commendeth his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Or if, when we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled we shall be saved by his life. The hymn writer reminds us of our position with Christ in Under His Wings.
Under His wings I am safely abiding; Though the night deepens and tempests are wild,
Still I can trust Him, I know He will keep me; He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

Under His wings—what a refuge in sorrow! How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!
Often when earth has no balm for my healing, There I find comfort, and there I am blest.

Under His wings—oh, what precious enjoyment! There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er;
Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me; Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore

Under His wings, under His wings, Who from His love can sever?
Under His wings my soul shall abide, Safely abide forever.

Psalm 10
1 Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? 2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. 3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth. 4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. 5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. 6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. 8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. 9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. 10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. 11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. 12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. 13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it. 14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. 15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none. 16 The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land. 17 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: 18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may more oppress.

When God Laughs Ps 2: 4-12
When men reject God, want no part of Him in their lives, are determined to have their own way. To make their own rules and standards without Gods’ influence. That seems to be the way our nation and many people are going today. They close their eyes and minds to the truth and their destination. God laughs and ridicules men when they think they can get rid of God, set Him aside as though He has no power or influence. They say He doesn’t exist, His Word is not true or meaningful for today that becomes their reality, that there is no God and the Bible is just a fable. Then He speaks with and unleashes His wrath and troubles them. What God has determined mere man cannot change Christ will rule. His words to the kings and all men serve the Lord with fear, that is utmost respect, serve Him with joy, the joy over what He has done for us in paying the price of our sin and making us His own. Trust is the road to blessings, trust His Word, His promises and His character. Study His word to know His promises and learn of His character.. “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure….Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and ye perish from the way when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” Psalm 2:4,5,12.
