Whole hearted praise, no half heartedness, lackadaisical commitment in our praise to God for all He has done for us. Testify of all His works from creation to our redemption. As we read the creation account in Genesis we see where god just spoke all that was created just came into being the earth, stars, planets, sun and moon, all animals and living creatures and things from just the spoken word of God. For man He formed us from the dust and breathed life into us. But for our redemption from sin He left all the glory of heaven became a man, was rejected, beaten then crucified to pay the price of our/my redemption. We need to tell this to everyone so they have the opportunity to receive His marvelous gift of Salvation. Our response thankfulness and rejoice singing praises to our Lord and Saviour, let our joy show. In Psalm 9:9 we are reminded that He is our refuge our place of safety and security in times of trouble we just need to run to Him. Again in verse 17 we are reminded of the horrors awaiting the wicked, that is the unsaved all around us daily. Our calling as Believers is to warn the unsaved and present to them the Gospel of salvation only through Jesus Christ alone. The only hope for our nation is when the people of God, Believers get things right with God, nothing between us and Him nothing displeasing to Him in our lives. That’s where it starts with our nation. At this time our nation is forgetting the God who has greatly blessed our nation. Be sure our individual daily walk with God is whole hearted not half hearted. Psalm 9:1,9,17 “I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” As the hymn writer Isaac Watts put in the hymn Am I a Soldier of the Cross.
1. Am I a soldier of the cross,
A follow’r of the Lamb?
And shall I fear to own His cause,
Or blush to speak His name?
2. Must I be carried to the skies
On flow’ry beds of ease,
While others fought to win the prize,
And sailed through bloody seas?
3. Are there no foes for me to face?
Must I not stem the flood?
Is this vile world a friend to grace,
To help me on to God?
4. Sure I must fight if I would reign;
Increase my courage, Lord;
I’ll bear the toil, endure the pain,
Supported by Thy Word.
5. Thy saints in all this glorious war
Shall conquer, though they die;
They see the triumph from afar,
By faith’s discerning eye.
6. When that illustrious day shall rise,
And all Thy armies shine
In robes of vict’ry through the skies,
The glory shall be Thine.
