EARLY
When we get up in the morning what do we do, some shower, get coffee, eat breakfast before starting out for the day. The Psalmist says to seek God early, that is spend some time with Him, in His Word and prayer early. Before meeting others, if only just a few minutes to get our focus right and ask guidance for the day. There are probably only a few occasions when we really couldn’t take a few minutes. The Psalmist had a thirst for God, as Christians where is our thirst for the one who suffered , bleed and died in love for us. Since we can’t meet Him physically we have the Bible His letters to us and the Holy Spirit within to teach us, give us understanding as we read and pray. To all professing Christians, just ask yourself am I really thirsty for God and His Word. Is my thirst shown by actions, life practices. Because of His love shown to us we praise and bless, glorify and exalt Him is our minds, hearts and to others. Because of all He does and has done for us we rejoice. How can e not share our love foe Him and His love to others. The Psalmist says he follows hard after God. How is our personal commitment to live for Him daily. Ones’ life is changed when we go from a head knowledge of Christ and true acceptance of Jesus Chris as Saviour. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.” Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. 3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: 6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. 7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. 8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. 9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. 10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes. 11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Take Heed
Take heed consider your ways, the psalmist here is speaking of being careful of what you say , think before you speak. What effect could your words have for the future for yourself and others. We also need to take heed to what we need to do to grow spiritually and walk close to our Lord daily. Time reading and studying His Word the Bible and praying. Consider what part really the Bible has in your daily life, are you spending time reading what Jesus wrote to you in His word. Some rarely read the letter from the one they claim to love. As a professing Christian, I almost never read the Bible, went to church because it was what Christians do, but had many excuses for missing. Then in March 1968 I was led to take a good look at myself and realized I was not a Christian, then I got saved and all that changed. I believe many professing Christians are like I was little if any evidence of a changed life and living to please the one who died in their place so we could be forgiven. As the psalmist says in Psalm 39:5 time is short be sure be ready. One day I believe soon, Christians will be taken out of this world, caught up in the Rapture to be with Jesus. Then God will release the most horrific judgements upon the earth and those left behind. Take close heed, be honest with yourself as you examine yourself to see if you are really a Christian. Faith in Him alone brings salvation to those who will confess their need. The life you live shows the evidence of your true beliefs. Psalm 39 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. 2 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. 3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue, 4 LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. 5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. 6 Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. 7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. 8 Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. 9 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. 10 Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. 11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. 12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. 13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

What is Christianity?
In the Presidents’ speech at the prayer breakfast and in the news they said that Christians in the past were killing and enslaving others. In the 1500s it was the catholic churches leaders that were putting people to death if they disagreed with the churches wrong teaching. See Foxes book of martyrs for the accounts. In regard to slavery that was wrong and not according to the Bible. So I just wanted to give out the evidences of the true Christianity. It starts with the Gospel, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sin. All are sinners Romans 3:23 The wages of sin is death, separation from God in Hell forever. Revelation 20:11-15 God loves you Romans 5:8 Believe that Christ is the Son of God Christ paid the price of sin Romans 10:9-13 Accept Him as who He is Saviour and Lord. It’s Christ alone for salvation nothing added by us. We just accept the gift He offered to all. The Bible gives evidence in the lives of those who are truly Christians. But we will not always follow them we fail many times when we do we repent and confess it to Christ and get forgiveness 1 John 1:9
Evidence of Salvation
A changed life, desires and motives 2nd Corinthians 5:17-18 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Loves not the World, desires and actions. 1st John 2:15-16 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Wants to do the will of God for his life. 1st John 2:3-6 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Loves the Bible and gets something out of it 1st John 2:27 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (Your relationship to the Bible is the same as it is to Christ, sin is a barrier to it.)
Does not practice sin 1st John 3:9 (NLT) Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.
Loves other Believers 1St John 3:14 14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Commitment to Trust
In the Lord do I put my trust, we are ready to put our trust in Him for our salvation from the penalty of sin. Are we willing to put our trust in and rely on Him in times of trouble and heart ache. Are we willing to trust Him in the problems and challenges of our daily lives. We make our commitment to trust then the problems come to challenge our commitment. We gain our trust in Him as we read and study the Bible. Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”. The foundations must be secure in our faith. What are the foundations: the Word of God the bible we can hold in our hand, it true. If any change the account of creation as stated in Genesis that God just spoke and all was created in just six literal days as it says. We then open the door to change anything else written in the Bible the virgin birth of Jesus, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, the word for word inspiration of the Bible and the second coming of Jesus. When one begins to change one thing in the Scriptures then one can change it all. Change the foundations of Christianity and you have changed your Christianity into just another religion no different than any other false belief. The righteous loveth righteous that evidence of a relationship with Christ. Our righteousness is not based on anything we do to earn it but only on our acceptance of the shed blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. The gift of salvation is open to all who will receive it. Let’s present it plainly to as many as possible.
Psalm 11 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? 2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. 3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? 4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. 5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. 6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Hymn Teach Me to Trust
Teach me to trust when there is cause to rear, When trials come and tempests sore appear; Help me to know that Thou , O God, art near. Teach me to trust when skies are shinning bright, Or when I group alone in sorrow’s night; Thy love provides what ever’s best and right. Teach me to trust mid all life’s tangled ways, In all its disappointments and delays, Give me a song a sacrifice of praise. Teach me to trust when weary, worn and frail, When sickness, pain and other ills assail; Thy grace sustains, Thy promise will not fail. Teach me to trust Teach me to trust.

To be blessed in life we have two positives steps. It starts in the heart, with the desire for the Word of God to read and study it. It beings joy and great pleasure as we read it and learn it. As the psalmist says it’s our delight to read and hear it taught. Sadly some try to make it seem complicated and difficult to understand that only some men can understand its’ teaching. The men hurt the cause of Christ. Every Believer has the best teacher available to teach us, the Holy Spirit within. The blessed man has within a desire for the Word of God its his delight to spend time with his open Bible. The Bible is not difficult to understand the basics, that is God’s plan of salvation and how we should live after becoming Christians (Christ followers). Desire and time are the things needed to know the Word. Meditate day and night as we walk through our day. Get the passage in your mind then carefully consider it, what it says and means. The question to be answered is do we want to be the blessed man by God? Will we make the commitment needed to reach the goal? The Christian should have that natural desire for the Word of God. Follow the path to blessings and we will be blessed that’s a promise of God. Just remember true blessings and riches are eternal we may not have good health and material wealth here but ours will be where there is no corruption and it can’t be loss. “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. “ Psalm 1:2-3

1st John 5:18 “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not: but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”
The question is can or does a Christian sin. As we start here lets define sin; sin is anything against the perfect will and standard of God. They can be things we do or things we should do but don’t do. Now can anyone say he has never sinned since the day he accepted Christ as savior and became a born again Christian. If we take the verse alone in the old King James version, which I love and trust, it indicates that a Christian does not sin. Many problems occur when we take just one verse and ignore the other verses on the subject. So to avoid error we must take and compare it to other scriptures. In 1st John 1:8-10 and in the book of 1st Corinthians it is clear Christians sin. A Christian’s normal life style is not lived in the practice of sin whether by commission or omission. The normal living of the true Christian is keeping himself from sin. He will fail at times but Satan will not continue to lead him astray down the continual path of destruction. A Christian cannot stay in sin apart from God year after year, a Christian living in sin is in danger of physical death as we see in 1st John 5:16 and 1st Corinthians 11. So as a Believer we should set our goal to be as Christ like as we can in our daily walk avoiding that which can lead down the wrong path. Keep a great distance between you and sin, Satan needs only a small crack in the door. Pray much for those we know not walking with God daily, Before I got saved several friend and family prayed that I would become faithful in attending church thinking I was saved already but when I got saved their prayers were answered so don’t assume one not walking with God is saved just pray.

Sin – two classes
Here we have a brother in Christ, we see sinning should we pray for him, that’s the question. The apostle gives two classes of sin; a sin unto death, a sin not unto death. The attitude of judge not is loudly proclaimed in some Christian circles today. But we are to make judgment regarding sin according to God’s Word. There are at least two incidents in the New Testament where sin led to physical death. In Acts 5:1-10 Ananias and Sapphira lied about their giving to the believers, which is also lying to the Holy Spirit they immediately died. The other is at the communion celebration in remembrance of the suffering and death of Jesus 1st Corinthians 11:23-30. Many died because of their attitude and actions at this ceremony. This is a sacred time when believers stop and remember what it cost Jesus to pay for our sin. A time to examine yourself, any know sin to be confessed and forsaken . then take careful though as we take the bread and juice in remembrance of Jesus. This sin unto death may not be clearly defined as to it’s exact nature there are many and various thoughts. So let’s just be extremely careful and not trifle with any sin. A road started down sometimes is difficult to turn around before it’s too late and tragedy strikes. Let’s pray for our love ones and those we see walking in or near sin away from God in their lives. 1st John 5:16-17 “If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death; I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. “
